We know Covid-19 has caused a lot of services and job roles to move remotely and online. Lockdown has also left a lot of courses resorting to online platforms. This includes The Security Institute, who will be conducting free webinars starting from this week for both members and non-members. Further details about the training on offer can be found here.
Some of you may still question how effective these types of online courses are, so the team here at QCS thought it would be ideal to list some of the benefits of using online platforms.
Works around your time schedule
Unlike actual classes and seminars, you’ve attended at school, college or university, online courses have been designed so that you are able to balance it with other commitments. Majority of lessons are pre-recorded and available to watch whenever. For many of you Covid-19 has meant you’re busier with chores and family life. This is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill at your own pace. There is no time limit and rush to complete activities.
Changes to future job roles
Many people who are working from home during Covid-19 are recognising the benefits of using online platforms. Apps such as Zoom, and Microsoft Teams are more than enough to hold group meetings and individuals can still perform major tasks online from the comfort of their own homes. Getting acquainted to an online course or utilising this moment in general to look at online platforms will certainly provide you with a skill set beneficial for future references. In case we have another lockdown, or your company introduces an e-platform for training you’ll be equipped with an understanding of how online platforms work.
Gives you an understanding of the online world
